Our Devotion to Fine Wine We were very fortunate to open The Craftsman at a fabulous time, when wine production and wine quality were reaching exciting new heights every year. We have benefited from a wealth of sourcing opportunities, made all the more bountiful by our mere presence here in New York State, arguably the best place in the world to purchase and enjoy wines, what with our breadth of importers and distributors and the critical mass of discerning wine lovers to support their efforts. attempt to expose our clientele to a wide variety of
wines through our low markups on bottles, our continuously changing wine
by the glass program, our free wine tasting seminars and our monthly themed
wine dinners.
Syracuse might seem to lie in the frozen hinterlands of Upstate to some of our brethren from elsewhere, but we Central New Yorkers have great interest in and enthusiasm for the ever more promising wine culture. This is illustrated best by perhaps the highest per capita Wine Spectator awards of anywhere in the country, as well as by the consistent support for our radically improving Finger Lakes wineries.
