Kerrin F216 days agoGreat for a business trip stay This hotel was perfect for a fast overnight work trip. The rooms are basic not huge, but fine for a hotel room. They were clean and the bathroom was stocked well with towels and VERY clean& the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was great and included for no fee and a large space to eat which was nice. The restaurant attached was wonderful! I am looking forward to coming up again and staying. All the hotel staff were wonderful as well.

bpnatale224 days agoExcellent Experience I have stayed at the Craftsman Inn several times and it somehow gets better every single time I stay. The first time was so memorable and of such high quality that I didn’t even think twice about rebooking. Each time since had just been even better than the prior visit. The people are very friendly and knowledgeable and they make your stay such a pleasure. From the minute you check in to the breakfast in your way out every detail is thought of and customized for your experience. I will stay nowhere else in Syracuse NY. Make sure to try their restaurant as well it is fabulous!
Flymetothemoonphoto249 days agoExcellent Staff! Our suite was not so sweet. We stayed one evening. Upon check in (which was very smooth) I recognized that the room we booked was less than ideal (suite Room 260). The issue was based mostly on cleanliness. However, when the heat turned on, the TV rattled which made peaceful sleep a challenge. I explained the issues to Wen at the front desk, and he shared our concerns with the Manager, Isaac. Both validated my concerns. Isaac worked hard to make our stay better. If you book at the Craftsman, know that calmly explaining any concerns will be heard by an extremely kind, and professional staff.
Walt W250 days agoA week in Syracuse I have stayed at many hotels and most are cookie cutter types. Most being a room with a staff that does their job well. A nice room and maybe a restaurant or a convenience shop. The Craftsman is much more from the moment you enter the lobby, you get a homey feeling. Being welcomed by an above average freindly staff that goes above and beyond to make you feel at home. The 5 star restaurant is outstanding. A little pricey for my budget, but an outstanding choice for a special occasion. Need I say dinner with my wife is a special occasion. Stay,eat and enjoy.

LIZA-ADK6400 days agoFriendly service. Comfy beds. Very friendly service. Extremely comfortable beds. Enough breakfast options. Adjacent restaurant is really good for dinner or a cocktail. Room was clean except food left in the fridge. I asked for a quiet room in the back away from the road and that’s what I got so it was quieter. I like the industrial updates to the rooms. The location is also ideal and near many stores and restaurants. Very suburban. I plan on coming back.

Love the breakfast in the morning and the coffee is always great. Excellent UP FRONT parking is such a plus when the weather is rainy.

_researchberger551 days agoThe place to stay when visiting Syracuse Staff was friendly, professional, helpful and caring. The room was clean and pleasant. The decor was interesting and visually pleasing. And there's a great restaurant literally next door using the same parking lot.
Eph76575 days agoGood place to stay with some flaws The hotel is very clean and the rooms are in good condition. The breakfast was fine and the employees were courteous and helpful. It feels like a reasonable 4 star hotel. There were three problems I had. I was not told on arrival that I had to request a room cleaning or there would be no cleaning or even replacement of used towels. I rented an EV. The chargers they offered did not work. There were no instructions on how to use the remote control of the TV. I had to memorize the channel number and then access it. That was strange.KCRidihalgh605 days agoOld world charm, updated hotel Very nice hotel for Syracuse and well-priced. Updated bathrooms yet old-world charm throughout. Rooms had fridge and coffee but not microwaves (some were available in the breakfast nook in the lobby.) Breakfast was basic continental with a waffle station. Microwaveable Jimmy Dean egg sandwiches. Wet clean and well stocked. Wonderful fires going in the lobby and rocking chairs on the porch. We didn't visit the adjoining hotel (but they gave us a coupon for it.) It looked busy and cozy with nice decor and fire places as well.
msec1210616 days agoGreat place to stay- always feel welcome and comfortable! The Craftsman Inn is always clean, the staff is friendly and helpful and I always feel safe, comfortable and welcome. The breakfast staff are always around to fill whatever runs low and there is coffee throughout the entire day.
Julia V650 days agoA solid small hotel with basic amenities and a wonderful restaurant This is somewhere between a motel and a hotel and the rooms are clean and modern. Access to the city of Syracuse is easy and the surrounding area offers good amenities. The restaurant is top notch. The property could benefit from a little more attention to rooms and the in-room amenities to be replenished regardless of no house-keeping.

wendyv2266234714 days agoBeautiful property, wonderful stay I thought the room was a little small, especially the bathroom, but the decor was beautiful and it was confortable. Breakfast was nice as well. The only reason i did not give 5 stars is that the people sitting outside on the front porch rocking chairs, which we happened to be staying in the room right above them, were talking until 1am. when is quiet time? voices traveled and it was loud and i had hard time sleeping. my husband went to front desk to say something to the employee, and he just said he would keep an eye on it. But did nothing, so my husband had to go out and say something to the people. He should not have had to. The Inn should have taken care of it

I love the rocking chairs and all of the seating in the lobby. It's a great place to gather with friends. Having the restuarant/bar next door is terrific!

Kellyne E753 days agoCraftsman Inn review great place to stay ...Loved the room ! only problem we had was the soap dispenser was empty in the shower the whole time but i brought our own soap anyway cause i was not expecting more than a little sample of soap ...we had a king suite with a little Kitchenette kinda ,...our stay was 3 nights ,i told the front desk and they said they would get some up there but that never happened ..... hmmmmm other than that the place was fantastic ...clean and the people ( staff ) were so nice the bar and grill was great also ~ will stay there again with pleasureuldak4748761 days agoAnnual Meeting Venue The arrangements that were previously discussed for this event with the Sales Staff exceeded expectations. knemsy767 days agoVery Nice This place is very nice and I'd say pretty unique. It is very masculine though and could use some softer touches amongst all the manly Craftsman decor style. The restaurant was good but a bit pricey. I wish they had more protein options at breakfast but I liked that they had microwavable breakfast sandwiches to take on the go!msec1210790 days agoGreat place to stay It's a quant lodge type of place that has a homey feel to it. Everyone was friendly and helpful. I will definitely stay there again. Just bring something to put in the trash baskets in your room, they don't supply those.
JEReid805 days agoRecent stay at the Craftsman We stay at the Craftsman when we are in Syracuse. The rooms are comfortable with plenty of room. Amenities are fine. They don't provide room service on a daily basis, but you are told that when you check in so that you can make arrangements accordingly. They have really improved the free breakfast. Post Covid it was weak, but now great selection and they restock every morning. Very pleasant folks on check in and out. Rates are comparable or a bit less than similar hotels. Will be back.

The location is super convenient to Syracuse University, about 12 minutes away, Starbucks next door as well as a variety of restaurants across the street not to mention the Craftsman Grill is very good. We are in Syracuse often and will definitely stay at The Craftsman Inn again,
